FINANCIAL LITERACY FORUM AT SOKOINE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE (SUA) THEME: “SECURING TOMORROW: EMPOWER YOUTH FOR FINANCIAL GROWTH AND FREEDOM”

This report presents a comprehensive summary of the Financial Literacy Forum held on May 3, 2025, at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), organized by the United Nations Chapter–SUA (UNC-SUA) in collaboration with the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC). As an official partner through a strategic relationship with TIC, Save Youth’s Dream Foundation (SYDF) played a central role in delivering impactful youth-focused content during the forum. SYDF facilitated a dynamic session titled “The Power of Financial Literate Generations”, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy as a foundation for youth independence, entrepreneurship, and long-term growth. Our presence wasn’t just supportive—it was intentional and value-driven, empowering hundreds of students with knowledge, motivation, and practical strategies. The event attracted over 400 participants from SUA, MZUMBE, University, and JORDAN University . It featured expert-led talks, a lively panel discussion, and valuable engagement from students. This report captures the core sessions, key messages, speaker insights, youth reflections, challenges encountered, and closing remarks from key stakeholders. It stands as proof of SYDF’s continued commitment to developing financially empowered and future-ready generations across Tanzania.
